Brian Stertzer - Pursuing Volunteer Activities in Hilton Head
Retired from a career in finance, Brian Stertzer is a Hilton Head, South Carolina, resident who is active in the local Presbyterian Church with his wife. He became active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in the 1970s as a basketball and baseball varsity athlete at Capital University in Ohio. Brian Stertzer continues to support the nonprofit organization as a local board member. He has taken part in numerous FCA summer camps, furnished South Coastal FCA scholarships, and served as a national-level trustee.
Brian Stertzer earned his BA in economics and accounting and achieved qualifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He guided Columbus-headquartered WealthStone as managing director for nearly two decades and oversaw a reengineering of the firm’s asset management division.
He spends much of his time on serving the community and multiple non-profit organizations with implementing a Legacy Giving strategy for their donors.
Mr. Stertzer’s background extends to executive positions with Ernst & Ernst and with Abbot Laboratories’ Hospital Products Division. He has a passion for fishing off the Atlantic coast and in inshore locations around Hilton Head, and is an avid golfer.
